Green Screen
A solid, bright green screen (#00FF00). Use it as a chroma key background, a color test or a green light.
Uses for a green screen
Chroma key tests
Place a tablet or monitor behind small objects and remove the green in your video editor. It is a quick way to test a keying setup.
Green subpixel test
Only the green subpixels light up, so dead or stuck pixels are easy to find.
Green background for editing
Record or screenshot the solid green and use it as a key color in editing apps.
Retro terminal look
Dimmed green looks like an old monochrome monitor and works as a calm accent light.
Full green screen in one click
There are no borders or text on the screen. Go full screen and the whole display turns green, edge to edge.
How to use it
Press Full screen, click the colored area or press F on your keyboard. Adjust the brightness slider if the screen is too bright. Press Esc, or tap Exit on a phone, to return to the page.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my monitor as a real green screen?
For small objects and quick tests, yes. For people and large scenes, a lit green fabric or painted wall works better because a monitor is small and its brightness changes with the viewing angle.
What color code is the green screen?
The screen shows #00FF00, pure green. Lower the brightness for a darker green.
Is it free? Do I need to install anything?
Yes, it is free. Every screen runs in your web browser on a computer, phone or tablet. There is nothing to download and no account to create.
Do you store or upload anything?
No. Your settings are saved only in your own browser so they are ready next time. We do not use cookies, and we count visits with cookieless analytics.
